Cherbourg was already the first auction to get the quality label ISO 9001, model 2000 in July 2003 for the whole services from landing stage to loading of buyer's lorries : grading, weighing, sharing out, labelling, sale, delivery, invoicing, cleanning and maintenance of equipments.
It is also the only one auction that can justify of the great accuracy for the grading of its fishes. Ensured by CCI's employees, the regulation enforces that fishes are graded by species and size with a margin of error +/- 10 %. Cherbourg was known for the accuracy of its grading +/- 5% what it allowed the development of the data processing sale system. After a training of 200 hours implemented by a member of the association "Normandie Fraîcheur Mer" in charge with quality, our employees responsible for grading improved their quality of grading, that is now of +/- 3 %.
